Tinder to invest $1 Million to provide free in-app ads for women entrepreneurs

All applicants will be screened by all-women panel of tinder executives and the decision will be made under their sole discretion. Primary criteria being, 50% of founding members should be women and company should be at least 3 years old.

Location-based dating app tinder announced on Thursday that it is pledging 1 Million dollars in ads for supporting women entrepreneurs in India.

Over 90% of Tinder’s online community is between the ages of 18-30, this age group is at the cohort of majority of businesses. This ads will help in promoting women-owned businesses, and help them in targeting potential customers.

“We are proud to have women driving growth within the organisation across various functions including management, product engineering, and design. We remain committed to our promise of opening doors for women around the world and this initiative is another step in this direction,” Taru Kapoor, GM, Tinder and Match Group, India, said in a statement.

Tinder is inviting applications from companies where at least 50% of founding members are women or identify themselves as women.

Also, the applying company should be at least 3 years old and should not have raised more than 35 Crore Indian rupees in equity financing. These companies should target millennials and Gen-Z audiences.
