64% Indians will be online by 2023, Says CISCO’s annual report

Nearly a third of the global population will have Internet access by 2023. There will be 5.3 billion total Internet users (66 percent of global population) by 2023, up from 3.9 billion (51 percent of global population) in 2018.

India will have over 907 million internet users by 2023, accounting for 64% of the population, according to Cisco’s Annual Internet Report. The report says devices and connections are growing faster (7% CAGR) than the population (1% CAGR) in India, boosting the growth in the average number of devices and connections per household and per capita.

There would be 2.1 billion networked devices by 2023 and M2M (machine to machine) modules would account for 25% (524.3 million) of all network.

By 2023, APAC will have 3.1 billion Internet users (72 percent of regional population), up from 2.1 billion (52 percent of regional population) in 2018.
